Apparently, this was a special request from Aamir. As per Hindustan Times, Aamir texted Salman saying, "Main tujhe apni topi bhej raha hoon, tu kisi event par pehen lena (I am sending you my hat. Wear it at some event). Accha lagega logon ko ki tune meri topi pehni hai. Hamari thodi publicity ho jayegi."
Salman Khan, who is ever willing to help his friends, replied saying, "Why would I wear it at any event? I will wear it on Bigg Boss."
Naturally, Aamir was very touched by this warm gesture by Salman Khan.
Dhoom 3, that stars Aamir with Katrina Kaif, Abhishek Bachchan, and Uday Chopra, is all set to release on December 20. Aamir and team have made a conscious decision not to promote their film on any TV shows or events. Perhaps, this is why he asked his old chum for some help.
