Today's episode of Koffee with Karan saw two very talented actors - Farhan Akhtar and Vidya Balan. We thought theirs was an unlikely pair but the last one hour changed it all. We were forced to change our perception after seeing them share such a comfortable relationship and having a good time! The two were great together and we're glad Karan Johar got them on his show together because it just makes us doubly excited for their upcoming film, Shaadi Ke Side Effects.
Farhan Akhtar was the first to enter. Acting, directing, singing - Farhan does it all and does it supremely well. This was his third time on the show and we were already prepared for his witty one-liners and amazing sense of humour. Karan spoke to him about his best performance till date, Bhaag Milkha Bhaag. Farhan appears to be extremely grounded and well spoken and it's always lovely to hear him talk. Just when Karan was all set to make him spill some beans, they called in Vidya Balan to make work easier.
Vidya like Farhan is also known for her witty remarks and of course, who can forget her timely sexual connotations which are enough to give Karan a complex too! She entered looking pretty and confident in a black sari. Funny, bold, sassy and a very smart talker - that's Vidya for you. Hardly does she not amuse you by her talks. Karan spoke to her about life after marrying Siddharth Roy Kapur and also about being being the butt of criticism when it comes to her fashion sense. It was great to see Vidya confidently say that she no longer cares about what is spoken about her fashion sense. She admits to not understanding fashion and she couldn't care less. It's amazing to see Vidya come a long way from the time she used to get perturbed by such remarks to being how she is now.
There were many funny instances in the show. Vidya shared with us how a shy Farhan reacts to female attention and his face was worth watching. He looked absolutely adorable! We loved the little stories they shared here and there because that's how fans actually get to know their favourite stars and their little quirks.
Surprisingly, Farhan beat Vidya to the coffee hamper and also aced the coffee quiz. We thought both of them gave fantastic answers and a special mention to Farhan who very smartly dodged all the "controversial" questions KJo bombarded him with leaving Karan helpless. We must admit, it's good fun to see celebrities beat Karan at his game!
So here were two bundles of talent who have always been miles away from any kind of controversy. At first we thought this episode won't be that entertaining but we were wrong and how! This time conversations went beyond gossip and it was way more than "who is dating who". Meaningful and fun conversations that left us with a smile on our face - this episode was a breather from the previous ones!
