Priyanka Chopra
Priyanka stepped into Bollywood in 2003 looking nothing like how she looks today. A humongous transformation, don’t you think? She is no doubt a fantastic actress but we can’t help but say that if it weren’t for this much needed change we doubt we would have seen the Priyanka we see today - from bagging the biggest films to being Guess’ brand ambassador and a new singing sensation in the West! Her style statement too has evolved over the years. Always experimenting with her looks, that’s Priyanka for you!
Kareena Kapoor
Kareena went from being plump to size zero to finally a size we love! One look at her arms is enough to show you the change. Looking at the chubby Kareena in Hulchul, it was almost hard to imagine that she would one day manage to become size zero! We aren’t complaining because the Bebo we see now is way sexier with her curves et al. A style icon today, we wonder what she has to say about her looks way back when she was a newbie in Bollywod! Remember when Kareena went blonde? Yikes! Good riddance, we say!
Deepika Padukone
Deepika has always been praised for her good looks. She was beautiful when we first saw her in 2007 and looks like she just keeps getting better with age! What really changed for Deepika was her fashion sense. From being seen in a casual tee and jeans, we started seeing her in figure hugging dresses and elegant sarees coupled with different hairstyles which accentuated her look. Well, better late than never right?
Katrina Kaif
Katrina Kaif’s transformation as far as her looks are concerned hasn’t been much. She looked slightly different from 2003 to 2008 but post 2008, there has hardly been a change apart from the fact that she has lost oodles of weight! Our only complain with Katrina is that she does not experiment with her looks. Quite honestly, we are a little bored of her ‘trying to play safe’ appearances!
Anushka Sharma
While everyone decided to go forward, here’s Anushka Sharma who took a leap backward! Anushka was doing so well – the demure girl during Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi after which we got to see the sexy Anushka in Badmaash Company and Ladies vs Ricky Bahl and yes, the Anushka during Jab Tak Hain Jaan has to be our favourite but then we wonder what got into her and she decided to do a ‘temporary lip enhancing’ job! Let’s hope it’s temporary because those lips really make it difficult for us to concentrate on what she’s saying!
Sonam Kapoor
We don’t overstate when we say that this actress never gets it wrong. So much that since the time she entered, she was never given flak about her style statement. Sonam emerged to be Bollywood’s true fashionista with every appearance she made, be it at Cannes or in award functions back home! A pretty girl, Sonam never had to try hard to look the way she does. Let’s just say some people are lucky and Sonam surely is one of them! We’re pretty sure she’ll even make rags look good!
Vidya Balan
Vidya Balan hasn’t really been a favourite of fashion critics. During the initial part of her career, there was hardly ever a time when Vidya got it right but then came a time when we started seeing Vidya look lovely in graceful sarees. What happened? Sabyasachi happened. She was seen in sarees for the longest time until recently when she started experimenting with her looks! Hats off to her for keeping her calm in spite of the bitter things she was made to hear.
Kangana Ranaut
Kangana made her debut in 2007 and from that time till 2010, most of her looks spelt disaster. Flashy colours, unkempt hair, loud make-up – looks like Kangana could not care less! Post 2011, there was a sudden change and a delightful one at that. We saw a ‘well endowed’ Kangana looking uber chic and stylish, always up for playing with her looks and guess what, she actually got it right!
