Here is the review for the movie Kaanchi... Watch out this space for more updates!

Rating:2.5/5 Review By:Taran Adarsh Site:Bollywood Hungama

Ghai rests the plot of KAANCHI on Mishti's shoulders and though the actress looks beautiful [reminds of Aishwarya and Mahima from certain angles], she does a confident job of interpreting her part. Also, her fragile face bears the scars of trauma effectively. Kartik Aaryan does a good job, although one misses his presence after a point. Rishi Kapoor looks out of place in a character like this, while Mithun Chakraborty steals the show. Rishabh Sinha as Mithun's son is first-rate. Chandan Roy Sanyal is too good.
Adil Hussain manages his part efficiently. Mita Vashisht is wasted. Mahima Chaudhary appears in a cameo.
On the whole, KAANCHI could've been a riveting fare, but doesn't rise beyond the ordinary in the final tally.

Kaanchi is a film that may entertain you if you are a fan of Subhash Ghai films. The film has typical Ghai film elements with a small town feel and yet the extravagance of the elite. The film could also serve as an inspiration to girls who want to bring a change in society but only in a cinematic manner. Watch it if you have ample of free time!
The film is a love revenge saga that may entice you only into phases. While the music is complete downer, there is less to look forward to in this film. If you are a person high on optimism, this film may impress you with its positivity and underlined message. Kaanchi could have been Ghai’s Rang De Basanti had the script been strong enough.

Rating:4/5 Review By:Subhash K Jha Site:IANS

"Kaanchi" tells us there is no harm in dreaming. It marks the return of the Showman to form. This is a warm-hearted free-spirited ode to new-age womanhood. The female protagonist's dharm-yuddh with evil forces may lack in subtlety. But then the time to tackle terror with tact is over.
It's time to take on corruption head-long. "Kaanchi" does just that. With feeling and drama.

New find Mishti is a great discovery. More than just a pretty face, she is quite effective as the spunky Kaanchi, especially as long as she is allowed to operate within a certain bandwidth.
But when she screams and shrieks her voice turns overly screechy and tinny, an aspect that she would definitely need to work on for the long haul.
Kartik Tiwari exudes strong screen presence and shows flashes of qualities needed to be a mainstream Bollywood lover boy.
Kaanchi is strictly for old time’s sake.

With `Kaanchi`, Ghai remains true to his form, and churns out yet another uninteresting production. All in all `Kaanchi` does not work on any front. Watch the movie at your own risk, but your heart breaks to see a showman failing to produce a good show.

Rating:2.5/5 Review By:Meena Iyer Site:Times of India

Mishti looks a cross between Rani Mukherjee and Mandakini. Hoardings proclaim she is Kaanchi the unbreakable, but her voice is so shrill, it can cut glass. And Mr Ghai you're the maker of Kaalicharan, Vishwanath, Karz, Hero, Ram Lakhan, Karma, Pardes and Taal. Permit us to just rewind to your past glory.
