On 6th November 2013 Shah Rukh Khan tweeted a pic of the TechnoShape device with the message, "My new gizmo for abs...the TechnoShape. Now you just wait and see...yeah!!"
305 days later on 7th September 2014 he tweeted a pic of his sculpted, smouldering 10 pack abs look with the message, "I feel shy to talk about my body, but this is only for @TheFarahKhan. Cause of @prashantsixpack my trainer for 20 years & Aryan for inspiring me."
In a matter of less than a year, SRK worked with his trainer Prashant Sawant to get the look that has left women drooling and men running to the gym.
Getting the 10 pack abs required a lot of hard work and dedication on SRK's part. According to The Health Site, "Whenever SRK has to get in shape for a role, he follows a high-protein, low-fat diet regime combined with weight training and hits the gym around 4 days a week. His secret however, he claims is being hydrated which means drinking 8-10 glasses of water. When on a diet, the King Khan stays away from breads and rice, ghee and sticks to lean meats like chicken and turkey. He also eats a lot of egg whites and paneer, and gets his carbs from veggies, legumes and whole grains. Whenever he craves sugar, he eats a fruit and also has a protein drink after every workout."
7 years ago in 2007 at age 41, SRK got 6 pack abs for Om Shanti Om on the insistence of director Farah Khan. Remember the Dard-e-Disco song? 7 years later at age 48, he went a notch higher and got 10 pack abs for the upcoming movie Happy New Year (releasing on Diwali 2014), again on the insistence of director Farah Khan. SRK's new look is also visible in the newly released song promo of Happy New Year, Manwa Laage.
After SRK's 10 pack abs look was revealed, his fans flooded Farah Khan with thank you messages on Twitter, leaving the director to tweet, "Ok I have never had sooooo many people thank me in such short a time :P #HNY"
