Have you ever wondered who the top actress at the box office is? What is the pecking order among heroines? Who are producers and directors dying to cast in their movie?
A recent report by the leading trade website Box office India lists just that. As per the report, Deepika Padukone leads the pack followed by Katrina Kaif, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Priyanka Chopra, Alia Bhatt, Sonakshi Sinha, Kangana Ranaut and Anushka Sharma.
Here is the ranking of the heroines at the box office:
1. Deepika Padukone:
Deepika’s career is no less than dream come true. She had three releases in 2014, ‘Finding Fanny’, ‘Happy New Year’ and ‘Kochadaiyaan’. And ‘Happy New Year’ turned out to be a big grosser last year. In coming year too, she has an interesting big banner line up.

2. Katrina Kaif
The ‘Dhoom 3’ actress is ranked at No 2 position. Katrina has been part of many multi-starrer and solo ventures. The actress has given fair number of hits in her career so far in films like ‘Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani’, ‘Zindagi Na Milegi Na Dobara’ ‘Ek Tha Tiger’ and ‘Namaste London’. She had only one release in 2014, but she has signed big projects in the coming year.

3. Kareena Kapoor Khan
Kareena Kapoor Khan, the darling in the industry had three releases last year – Singham Returns, The Shaukeens and Happy Ending. While Singham Returns was the only full-fledged role she had, the other two being cameo appearances. This year she has three films in hand and one cameo appearance.

4. Priyanka Chopra

She has two big films this year. And not to forget, Priyanka is also about to feature in a Hollywood series – Quantico. Any doubt about her popularity?

And this year she had one release ‘Tevar’. Sonakshi is working hard for her upcoming film ‘Akira’ which will portray her in a different avatar.
