Return of Subhash Kapoor-Arshad Warsi
This actor-director duo worked earlier in ‘Jolly LLB’ and the film won the National Award for Best Feature Film in Hindi in 2013. While Jolly LLB was a courtroom comedy film, ‘Guddu Rangeela’ is a dark satire on khap panchayat. Do we see another hit in the making?
Arshad-Amit brothers-in-crime
Amit Sadh and Arshad Warsi play Guddu and Rangeela – brothers-in-crime. And they plan the perfect crime – kidnap. Things go awry but the brothers stick together. We have seen Arshad in comic roles earlier and hopefully we get to see another crackling comical chemistry between the two.

Ronit Roy returns as the baddie
Ronit Roy plays the baddie, a fierce Billu Pahalwan. We have seen him in strict fatherly roles in ‘Udaan’ and ‘2 States’. In ‘Guddu Rangeela’ Ronit plays a typical Haryanvi who enters politics with strict khap beliefs. One person to watch out for in ‘Guddu Rangeela’. Check out the making of his character here:
The Songs
The songs have caught up very well already. While Mata Ka Email have faced a few legal issues for the following lyrics – “Kal Raat Mata Ka Mujhe Email Aaya Hai, Mata Ne Mujhko Facebook Pe Bulaya Hai”, the ‘Sooiyaan’ track is a soothing and romantic number.
