The reprised version of 1990 song ‘Dheere Dheere’ from Aashiqui is out. While the original song featured actors Rahul Roy and Anu Agarwal, the new song features a suave Hrithik Roshan and our ever stylish Sonam Kapoor. But do you think the reprised version did justice to the original classic? Here are 5 reasons why we think the reprised version fail to create the magic of the original version.
The Punjabi version in a foreign locale is a total mismatch.
Honey Singh has sung this song and a few lyrics are in Punjabi. The song was shot in Turkey. Somehow the lyrics and exotic locales didn’t tune-in properly. The original song was sung by Kumar Sanu and we still have that voice stuck in our mind. Honey Singh’s voice in the song seemed out of sync and somehow took away the beauty of the original song.
Hrithik Roshan lip syncing in Honey Singh's voice
Everything seemed fine when he made an appearance. It was total hotness alert moment. But as soon as we saw Hrithik lip-syncing in Honey Singh’s voice, we clenched our fists thinking why did he do that? It would have been better if Hrithik didn’t lip-sync.
There is no love story in the reprised version of the iconic song
Hrithik Roshan plays a super rich hotel owner and Sonam Kapoor a party planner. We however, failed to understand why and how did they fall for each other? There was no love story.
Hrithik and Sonam look fashionably good but there is no chemistry
No doubt, Hrithik Roshan and Sonam Kapoor looked gorgeous in those sharp suits and designer outfits. But like we said, there is no love story, similarly, both the actors lacked the chemistry. While watching the original song, you can actually feel butterflies in your stomach...but ‘Dheere Dheere Revisited’ is not able to create that magic.
Hrithik disappoints us with his dance act
Hrithik Roshan is a great dancer. But in this song we hardly get to see his dance. We wish there were a few steps for him as well as Sonam.
