1. Akshay Kumar in Gabbar Is Back: Apart from playing the social vigilante in 2015 one of the highest grossing films, Akshay Kumar also played the role of a Physics teacher. He believed in teaching students with experiments and was a favourite among the students.
2. Bhumi Pednekar in Dum Laga Ke Haisha: She played the simple, sombre girl next door from Uttar Pradesh who was a teacher by profession and desired a loving husband. Her role highlighted the typical teacher like qualities in this 2015's critically acclaimed movie.
3.Shah Rukh Khan in Mohabbatein: He played the oh so charming music professor apart from a love guru to youngsters Uday Chopra, Jimmy Shergill and Jugal Hansraj. From making his students learn music to playing a catalyst in their love lives, SRK did it all. The film, that released in 2000, was one of the highest grossing films of the year.
4.Aamir Khan in Taare Zameen Par: Aamir's character of Ram Shankar Nikumbh in 2008 release Taare Zameen Par became a rage with most kids. Just like Darsheel Safary, many school going children fell in love with Aamir and his happy go lucky role of an art teacher. The movie highlighted the issue of dyslexia along with a message on how the kids suffering from it should be dealt with.
5. Sushmita Sen in Main Hoon Na: This 2004 starrer redefined the definition of female teachers that were portrayed on screen. Her chiffon sarees and sexy blouses stole hearts leaving many gasping for breath. My personal favorite!
6. Chitrangda Singh in Desi Boyzz: After Sushmita, it is Chitrangada's sexy Economics professor act in the 2011 movie that made guys drool over her. Who wouldn't want a teacher like her? She played the mesmerizing prof to Bollywood Khiladi Akshay Kumar!
7. Kareena Kapoor Khan in Kurbaan: Not many took a note of this, but Kareena Kapoor played a professor in the 2009 film before she fell in love with Saif Ali Khan and decided to move to New York. Remember Saifeena's cozy romance in the University campus during the song Shukran Allah?
8. Vinod Khanna, Bindu, Tanuja in Imtihaan: Released in 1974, this film was about an idealistic professor played by Vinod Khanna, who decides to reform a group of rowdy students at a college. ...
9. Jeetendra in Parichay: The veteran actor played teacher to spoilt brats in this 1972 release. Not only did he transform the kids but he also taught everyone how one can balance work and play!
